There are a good selection of shops as well as restaurants and cafes. The town beach is over a mile long and the sea wall offers scenic walk alongside the cliffs exposing the red rock formed in Precambrian times. Dawlish has a train station giving easy access to Exeter, Teignmouth, Newton abbot and Torbay. Dawlish is only 10 miles from Exeter and 10 miles from Torquay.
